Our common goal was to create a modern solution for consolidating business reporting that effectively supports decision-making in a dynamic environment. Thanks to controlled access and permission settings, managers and employees now have relevant data at their disposal for everyday use – quickly, securely, and precisely according to their needs.

Client description

With gross asset value exceeding €17 billion, CTP is the largest publicly listed industrial real estate developer in Europe according to GLA and a leader in the Central and Eastern European („CEE“) markets with a 25-year history of delivering high returns and creating long-term value. It owns and operates the CTPark network – more than 250 award-winning business parks with comprehensive services in ten countries from the North Sea to the Black Sea.

Assignment

Our task was to consolidate and visualise reporting and modernize its functioning. We needed to understand and integrate multiple data sources, supplemented by manual inputs, and design a visually appealing, but above all functional form of data presentation. This was so that report users would not get lost in the amount of information offered and could comfortably find the necessary data and information about occupancy, business opportunities, or operational information about logistics parks and buildings.

Implementation description

To address reporting requirements, we used a proven and time-tested standard for data visualization – Power BI, one of the components of the modern Microsoft Fabric data platform. However, the most important thing was to understand the business context of the data and to fine-tune the visualization itself in the best possible way together with the customer. We needed to build reports for a wide group of users, including the company’s top management. Therefore, we also integrated components for access and permission management into the solution so that each user could see the relevant data. A very pleasant addition to the visuals is the use of GIS layers in the Power BI reports themselves, which simplify navigation and complement the hard data in the reports.

We have relieved the customer of the burden of manually creating many of their reports and have built a solid foundation for the further development of business reporting requirements in the future.

Result

The Park Passport project delivered significant improvements in reporting and data management for the client. By consolidating data sources and implementing Power BI, manual effort in report preparation was eliminated, making the entire process faster and more transparent. Users across the organization—from operations to top management—now have access to unified and up-to-date information that supports better decision-making and enhances overall data quality.

Next steps

In the future, it certainly makes sense to continue improving available information in the report. There is always room to add new data sources, new perspectives on information, and the possible use of historical data to track trends or create predictive models.
